I had tried the pinot gris at #lksddowney and loved it. NEVER knew they had a rose version until we visited Lukas Liquor while visiting my in-laws in Leawood, Kansas. We had a wedding to go to on Saturday and I picked up two cans for the trip. I only needed one because it’s about two full glasses per can. I will say, I do like the pinot gris better than the rose but both are quite divine. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a roadie before and I was extremely happy about the convenience of this drink. I hope they make a sparkling wine version, I’d be all over that!
Dinner was at the communal table, which I enjoyed. I don’t know why but I love eating at a large table with strangers and bumping elbows. We weren’t that close to people here, but usually in Los Angeles, communal tables require touching elbows. 🙂
The lamb shank was amazing and I had to start with that. That’s probably the most memorable item from the restaurant. Well, that and the pimento. The place was crowded and it was a LONG wait for a table. Luckily we found an area to seat four and we went in. Many bottles of wine later, we walked back to our hotel and enjoyed a good night’s rest. I can say, some were feeling a bit hungover the next day. I was not one of them. 😛
Two day trip to Santa Barbara for a project we were retained on. 🙂 We spent one night in the little cute town and enjoyed some appetizers and wine before dinner. It was walking distance from our hotel so it was easy.
We found a little corner with sofas and big chairs at the establishment. The place had high ceilings and walls of wine, with amazing service.
The charcuterie plate was delicious and the rose was even better. I think I’ll need to come back to this place with my husband. 🙂
Tried for the first time at Catalina’s home. I was actually really curious to see how it would taste. To my surprise, it was light, tasty and very enjoyable. I guess I shouldn’t say, ‘to my surprise’ since anything G does, she will execute it very well.
Congratulations on her wino and the packaging… it’s super duper cute and easy to travel with!
Bear is finally making something with the bone in beef shank. I bought it a while ago by accident and it’s been in the freezer.
After our #KoreanNoodles Bear went to work! 😛
I helped chop the veggies.
Come back tomorrow for the final outcome!
Oh and I’m making rice on the side.
He will be taking this for work.
