#Breakfast


I love coming to Kansas because Bear’s mom makes the best food. And also because I sleep in and my days don’t include plans. But mostly because of her breakfasts. This breakfast was homemade tortilla, sausage and eggs with sharp cheddar cheese burrito. I added the sliced jalapenos since I like it extra spicy and crunchy. Always important to add the texture element when eating. Bear used to make me breakfast burritos, not anymore. I’m lucky if he makes me lunch. 😛

I had breakfast from the local donut shop. I was really craving a ham & cheese croissant with jalapenos. I wished there were more jalapenos and it was warmer.

I’m a suck for ham and swiss croissants with jalapenos.

I found one on the way to work and was pleasantly surprised by how yummy it was.

My issue with a lot of places is that the ham to cheese to jalapeno ratio is never right.

This place offered to put jalapenos inside for me and I was so happy to see that they filled it up!

Thank you and I shall be back!

I can’t believe I forgot to get jalapenos! Luckily I had Serrano! Sorry Bear, it was a bit spicier! I usually like jalapenos because it’s bigger but spicier is better too, I guess.

I didn’t have any because I had my leftovers from Don Felix. 😛

Don’t forget! Onions after it simmers, turn off the stove and let it sit while the rice cooks.

My sauce is best with white rice! (The Korean kind).

I cheated. Horribly. The worst thing I could’ve ate. I really only wanted to eat but the first several bites weren’t as good as I imagined so I kept eating. I knew I should’ve started with the side with all the melted cheese, and NOT the side with the stacked tomatoes!

What do I get at Five Guys? I get the cheeseburger (yes, cheeseburger, not the little cheeseburger) with everything minus grilled onions and pickles. I add raw onions and jalapenos. I should’ve asked for extra because it sure wasn’t enough.

We also got regular fries and cajun fries. Guess who likes the salty ones? Ding Ding Ding, the American.

Honestly, it was a waste of calories. I was annoyed with the cashier because when Bear ordered his burger first, she asked two or one patty. Obviously he ordered the cheeseburger, that comes with two patties. I let it go because I thought maybe, she thought we had no idea what WE were ordering. When it was my turn to order, I ordered the cheeseburger. The dumb bitch asked again, two patties or one? I said, “I said cheeseburger not the little cheeseburger”. Is she fucking retarded?

I forgot they didn’t have onion rings but it was ok, we got both fries, came home and ate almost everything. Everything but the fries… 3/4 of each of the fries were left. 😛

Spaghetti!


I like to believe that I make the best spaghetti in the world.

Of course, my Bear Baby makes me believe that I do! 🙂

I haven’t cooked in so long and I thought I’d kick off by cooking my spaghetti.

I always had leftover sauce because I never mastered portion sizing so I used to eat the leftovers with white rice.

It was the best thing in the world. I started to share my spaghetti sauce and rice with all my friends and now that’s the only way they like it.

Case in point… Bear Baby ate his with rice last night. I still like the noodles so I made pasta for myself and rice for him.

Btw, this is the thickest, grossest looking ground beef I’ve ever seen.

All that goes into the sauce are, onions, jalapenos, whole garlic, pepper and ground meat.

The minced garlic is used when the ground beef is cooking.

Everything else goes in after the sauce. I try to add the onions in last so it’s still crunchy but it’s always a hit or miss.

I like it to simmer for a while so either I’ll end up putting it in assuming it’ll be taken off the stove soon or get too impatient and throw them in there. 😛

I figure, when I go back for seconds or leftovers, it’ll cook again so it’ll never really be crunchy.
