@AftersIceCream #pigletventures

My son’s favorite flavor is the mint monster. We recently visited this over hyped dessert place and all my son could do was rave about Afters Ice Cream. The funny thing is, I did a vlog and he keeps saying it as I’m recording it. Will be live on 6/12 at 9:30am!

My husband always wants to go to Afters too. Now that he knows there is a location in Cerritos, he is always begging me to go with him. As for me, I don’t want to wait in line so I never go with him. If I do, I wait in the car. But I better have a full charge cause I’ll be waiting for a while playing on my phone!

We were in Cerritos and didn’t want to drive all the way to Koreatown so I yelped and found this place. I was sold from the Hot Cheetos Sushi roll they served. I’m always looking for IG opportunities to take really out of the box type of dishes so this worked out well.

We ordered a bunch of stuff and left satisfied. The funny thing is, my son loves hot cheetos, and he did not want to try one!

Fusion Tea Bar #Cerritos

 White boba??? I was sold! JK, I was sold on the Matcha Coconut Milk Tea. It was as yummy as it sounds. I met an old classmate to discuss future food vlogging and we decided to meet in Cerritos. I screenshotted a list of places that came up on Yelp and she picked Fusion Tea Bar. They offer traditional, white and some other kind of boba and I opted to get white. Well, since white is right. JK.

The place was small but we were able to grab a seat and our drinks came out quicky. They also offered an array of desserts which all looked tasty but I didn’t want to get fat. Their macarons were huge and I think were priced at $2.50 or $3.50, which are a bit on the higher end. But I figured it was because they were over-sized! Next time I go, I’ll have to try!

Best Soon ToFu #Chodang #Cerritos

I love me some BCD but my favorite soon tofu place is in Cerritos (actually Norwalk, CA). Chodang (12245 Artesia Blvd, Cerritos, CA 90703)

I used to come to this place with my mom a lot. My reasons for choosing specific Korean restaurants as my favorite has a lot to do with their banchan selections. This place in particular has the best one. I love the seasoned cucumbers and Chodang serves the best one in Souther California. The combination of white rice, soon tofu and the crunch of the cucumber makes for a perfect bite.

BCD does not have this side dish and although they have a plain picked version of cucumbers, I like mine with a little bit of flavor and spice.

It was a cold day and I was coming down with a cold so I wanted something soupy and spicy. I dragged my American husband to Cerritos to have dinner and even convinced him to order a third dish so we could share. I don’t know what it is about noodles but I had to have it. We ordered the seafood kalgooksoo (pictured in the center) and we literally only had a few bites. 🙂

He insisted on taking the rest home but I was reluctant to ask for a togo container because NO ONE takes leftovers noodles home. NO ONE.

He still did. Whether he ate is or not, was not my problem. 😛
