Silver Grill Cafe #FortCollins #Colorado

We had our second meal in Fort Collins at Silver Grill Cafe. We had brunch the day before at Lucile’s Creole Cafe. They had a bloody mary bar that we couldn’t resist, although with so many options, I think I enjoy it better when the establishment has their way of concocting their mix. I got the huevos rancheros with chorizo, but I wish I just kept the chorizo out like they have it originally on their menu. The chorizo made it a bit salty. I have videos from my trip, so will edit and upload soon! If you’re ever in Fort Collins, these two places are a MUST TRY!

What I enjoyed about Silver Grill Cafe was that they really took care of their customers. In the back they had a coffee bar and firepit going for the cold weather. Plenty of seats while we waited. TA got the beer braised corn beef hash which was super tasty and filling. I’m already thinking about my next visit to Fort Collins!

I’ve never had beignets before and this weekend Bear happened to be in New Orleans and was going to bring me back a mix. Fortunately, he didn’t have to because apparently, I had the best beignets in the country! That thing was fluffy and warm and so heavenly.

As you may already know, I visited TA for the weekend while Bear was away for a bachelor party. I flew into Fort Collins, Colorado and she picked me up to take me to her home.

The next am, we went to Lucile’s in the freezing weather and waited for a table for brunch. The place was jammin’ with people and they didn’t seem to mind! I would never wait for a table in LA but here, I didn’t mind. Also because we were able to order a Cajun Mary while we waited! They aren’t stingy with the vodka portions either!

We ordered the Creole Breakfast and an order of beignets. Ther jams and accompaniments were so tasty and homemade! I enjoyed the meal thoroughly and even shot a video.

Scrumpy’s Hard Cider Bar #FortCollins

After brunch we decided to have two hard cider flights! We were so full but we didn’t care. In Fort Collins Colorado, this place is known to have the best hard cider in the state(?). Every cider we tasted was delicious and refreshing. I can’t wait to go back.

Kansas Eats!

This is definitely a late post but I wanted to share. My meals in Kansas are always so yummy. Breakfast is always made by my MIL and sometimes we have dinner at home or out. We tried a new Mexican restaurant and it was yummy, I forgot the name though.

I can’t wait to go back in June for a wedding!

Dinner was at the communal table, which I enjoyed. I don’t know why but I love eating at a large table with strangers and bumping elbows. We weren’t that close to people here, but usually in Los Angeles, communal tables require touching elbows. 🙂

The lamb shank was amazing and I had to start with that. That’s probably the most memorable item from the restaurant. Well, that and the pimento. The place was crowded and it was a LONG wait for a table. Luckily we found an area to seat four and we went in. Many bottles of wine later, we walked back to our hotel and enjoyed a good night’s rest. I can say, some were feeling a bit hungover the next day. I was not one of them. 😛

On my actual birthday, we celebrated a friend’s bf’s birthday. I didn’t mind so much until Bear mentioned how messed up it was. I didn’t even get to blow out candles or get acknowledged for my birthday! Well, by a few people but not as much as I would have liked. ahhahahahh jk.

Bear was upset because he cares for me. In actuality, I didn’t care, I was having fun celebrating my friend’s bf’s birthday because he is such a social butterfly! I couldn’t believe how many friends he had and how amazing they all were. Sometimes I wish I had a group of 20 friends…

I haven’t been to Santa Barbara since before my first marriage. That’s right after high school! We visited the town for work and we stopped by this cute public market and now I’m thinking about wanting to take a road trip down there to spend the weekend drinking wine!

I saw a store with wine bottles on three sides of the glass wall from floor to ceiling and I wanted to die! I can’t wait to visit one day!
