Holiday Appetizer #KoreanInKansas

Probably the best appetizer I’ve have in a while. My MIL smoked the salmon herself!

She used the Big Green Egg to smoke it in the backyard then followed the directions in the recipe below.

We both agreed that it could’ve used less salmon and more cheese, onions and radish.

If you’re still celebrating, try this dish out, and if not… it’s still great for any gatherings!

Our first dinner was a recommendation by a colleague. The food was amazing but the service was horrible. It took the servers 30 minutes to get us our wine bottle. THIRTY MINUTES!!! Our bread, salad and soup had already been out…

Boston overall, was a horrible experience. Every restaurant we went to had horrible service. Was it because I was Asian? Was it because I was with a white man? I don’t think so because I saw so many interracial couples there! I was almost embarrassed because I didn’t want to be one of them.

This was the one of the places that was recommended by several people. The line was ridiculous every time we went by, luckily we were able to get a box of pastries. My favorite was the elephant trunk lobster tail. The cream was the best part, the pastry itself was a bit hard and ripped the roof of my mouth… however, I managed to finish the entire thing.

Salted Oreo! Never been so what I usually do is ask the person that’s taking my order what the crowd favorite is. Salted Oreo it was… and I was super happy about the choice. 😛 Although any kind of ice cream is a great choice. The place was super cute, it was an enormous milk jug or some sort of oversized container of some sort. It was sprinkling but there was still a line (that formed after we ordered). 🙂 If you’re ever in Denver, this is a MUST TRY!

 I wanted a bowl but they were out, so I had to get the one item on a plate. It was a bit annoying. So annoying I ended up eating a little before my flight and throwing the rest away for my flight. Didn’t want to carry that burdening styrofoam plate with me on the plane. It wasn’t as tasty as I wanted it to be. And their hot sauce sucks. The yellow mustard is better. Less salty.
