Stopped by to drop off our 2015 Annual Report to the owner Stephane. Since we did a Q&A with him, I wanted to make sure he got some copies. I happened to stop by when he was catering the media outlets to the new drinks and menu items! Lucky me! ๐Ÿ˜›

Dinner was at the communal table, which I enjoyed. I don’t know why but I love eating at a large table with strangers and bumping elbows. We weren’t that close to people here, but usually in Los Angeles, communal tables require touching elbows. ๐Ÿ™‚

The lamb shank was amazing and I had to start with that. That’s probably the most memorable item from the restaurant. Well, that and the pimento. The place was crowded and it was a LONG wait for a table. Luckily we found an area to seat four and we went in. Many bottles of wine later, we walked back to our hotel and enjoyed a good night’s rest. I can say, some were feeling a bit hungover the next day. I was not one of them. ๐Ÿ˜›

Fusion Tea Bar #Cerritos

ย White boba??? I was sold! JK, I was sold on the Matcha Coconut Milk Tea. It was as yummy as it sounds. I met an old classmate to discuss future food vlogging and we decided to meet in Cerritos. I screenshotted a list of places that came up on Yelp and she picked Fusion Tea Bar. They offer traditional, white and some other kind of boba and I opted to get white. Well, since white is right. JK.

The place was small but we were able to grab a seat and our drinks came out quicky. They also offered an array of desserts which all looked tasty but I didn’t want to get fat. Their macarons were huge and I think were priced at $2.50 or $3.50, which are a bit on the higher end. But I figured it was because they were over-sized! Next time I go, I’ll have to try!

ย Two day trip to Santa Barbara for a project we were retained on. ๐Ÿ™‚ We spent one night in the little cute town and enjoyed some appetizers and wine before dinner. It was walking distance from our hotel so it was easy.

We found a little corner with sofas and big chairs at the establishment. The place had high ceilings and walls of wine, with amazing service.

The charcuterie plate was delicious and the rose was even better. I think I’ll need to come back to this place with my husband. ๐Ÿ™‚

I had not been back since they first opened for my cousin’s birthday dinner. I remember the meal being very tasty but I had no reason to go back.

Random dinner with a friend and I enjoyed every dish. Especially the miso seabass and the sashimi.

We arrived 15 minutes before the kitchen was closing and the server informed us that the kitchen was already back up so the food may take a bit longer to come out.

We ended up picking items that didn’t require much cooking time. Oysters, ceviche, seaweed salad, sashimi amongst other things. The miso seabass was the only warm dish we ordered.

I think I want to go back with Bear since he loves Japanese.

Is it possible to order too much food? Yes, it is and it is a crime I always commit.

I believe this was shared among three people. Always get the cucumber, always get the dumplings, always get alcohol. ๐Ÿ˜›

South Coast Plaza location is crazy. The wait is always a minimum of 2 hours and I still go. Gives me a reason to eat something yummy AND shop a little before I eat. I gotta make sure I burn enough calories walking around and trying stuff on before consuming all this food! ๐Ÿ™‚
